Battery Explosion Hazard!
Batteries contain sulfuric acid and produce an explosive mixture of hydrogen and oxygen. Since hydrogen is generated during the self-discharge process, even when the battery is not in use, make sure to dispose of or handle it in a well-ventilated area.
Always wear proper eye, face, and hand protection.
Keep the battery away from sparks, flames, and cigarettes.
Do not attempt to open a battery without caps.
Keep the caps tightly sealed, except when checking or topping up the electrolyte.
Ensure that the work area is well-ventilated.
Never lean over the battery when starting a vehicle with a dead battery, or while testing or charging.
Be cautious when handling metal tools to avoid short circuits and sparks.
